In his Daily Record column, SNP Westminster leader Stephen Flynn says the WASPI women row shows Westminster's doors are closed for ordinary people.
For a fair few of us with young bairns the Easter break will be about egg hunts, chocolate, rabbits and trying to find ways to keep them entertained.
The frustrating part is that whilst we edge ever closer to the conclusion there remains a chapter or two still to be written. And what those chapters contain will impact so many.Herein lies a group of women, born in the 1950s, whose state pension age was changed to bring it into line with men. To be clear, they have no issue with that.
And I can say that with more confidence than ever before. Because, after a few bumps on the road, and despite the deaf lugs of the UK Government, the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman have just ruled in favour of the women. But Westminster isn’t normal. And just as the DWP can’t be trusted to do the right thing, neither can Parliament.
Like so many campaigners, they’re finding that when you knock on the doors of Westminster it’s almost impossible to prise them open.
