A popular Christmas lights display in a couple's garden that has raised almost a quarter of a million pounds over the years is back for the 21st time. The colourful exhibition is located on Laurel Crescent in Nuthall and visitors have already helped raise £3,500 for charity this festive season since its opening on November 17.
The display is on for six weeks, during which the attraction is visited, on average, by 30,000 to 35,000 people. On opening night this year, at least 2,500 people visited the lights, which were switched on by Jo and Sparky, Hits Radio presenters.Mr Swift said: "We're open for everybody. People come from all over the place, including places like Sheffield, Leicester and Rotherham. We're proud of ourselves for raising so much money.
