NOT many people in the UK can claim that there's a gushing waterfall hiding just behind their housing estate.described the walk as a "hidden gem" and explained how people can find the falls in a matter of minutes after arriving in the village.They wrote: "This hidden gem is located just off the A road east of Leyburn. It's a very peaceful spot which is particularly impressive after heavy rain.
Labelled by Camra's Pub Heritage Committee as being of "outstanding national historic interest", the pub still has some of its fixtures that date back to pre-war times. The falls are known as "Batman's Waterfall" after they featured in Christopher Nolan's hit film The Dark Knight Rises.Gayle Beck is found near the confluence of the River Ure and gushes through the streets of Hawes, a tiny market town in the Yorkshire Dales.
