August, while you're enjoying the sunny days, is also the perfect time to look after your garden. Pruning certain plants this month is crucial to ensuring beautiful flowers year after year.
August is the time when the garden is our oasis, whether it's for an al fresco meal, a barbecue with friends or simply a moment of relaxation in the sunshine. But did you know that August is also the ideal time to look after your plants? One of the most important tasks of the month is pruning, a simple but crucial step in maintaining the beauty and health of your garden. Pruning plants isn't just a matter of looking good.
The idea is to shorten the current year's shoots, leaving only about six leaves on each.
