US uranium drill campaign kicks off
Thor Energy today commenced drilling at its Groundhog Prospect , which lies on the company's 100% owned Wedding Bell Project , located in the uranium-vanadium mining district of the Uravan Mineral Belt , southwest Colorado, US.Drilling is estimated to take approximately four weeks to complete, with downhole gamma results released to the market as they become available.
Last week Thor moved into the helium and hydrogen space through the acquisition of an 80% stake in the Australian group Go Exploration. The dual listed miner said that it expects to remain on both exchanges, arguing that the UK market understands helium. However, Clayton said he didn't believe there was "great representation of uranium on AIM."We understand helium as a critical gas in certain markets, from MRIs through to the nuclear industry.
