Scots have been warned that thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong gales will lash parts of the country on Sunday, June 25
.
It comes after weeks of unusually warm weather for Scotland and the rest of the UK, brought to an abrupt end by heavy rainfall and a sudden drop in temperatures. Thunderstorm warning - Sunday, June 25 The Met Office has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms on this day, lasting from 1pm in the afternoon until 9pm at night.
