Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service and Preston Police responded to the incident near the Swing bridge on Wednesday evening. Ex-Rugby Player Jailed After 140mph Drug ChaseMaredudd Francis, a former rugby player, was jailed for four years after leading police on a 140mph chase on the M56 motorway in Cheshire. Francis, who was previously captain of Welsh rugby union team RGC, threw bags of cocaine out of his car window as he attempted to evade police. The chase ended when Francis crashed his BMW into another car. Police found large quantities of cocaine, cannabis, and cash at Francis's home and in his vehicle.
