The wall was only repaired last April after previous damage
Repairs to a notorious stretch of Nottinghamshire road, known as Devil's Bend, will be carried out after it was once again damaged in heavy rain. A section of the wall in Chilwell Lane, Bramcote , leading to Town Street, fell away on Wednesday, January 8.
The council has now confirmed the plans to begin repairs, stating that the repairs to the wall will provisionally start on Monday, February 3. It also confirmed that the repairs are expected to last for two weeks, with works taking place on weekdays from 7am until 4.30pm. It's not the first time Devil’s Bend has experienced a collapse; a section of the wall fell in April last year on Chilwell Lane, which led to the closure of the road for almost three months. Another section of the wall also fell back in 2021.
