EXCLUSIVE: Pat Campbell won his appeal after it looked like his 27-year career in the police force was over following allegations made in 2021.
A top anti-terror cop has been reinstated after he was sacked over claims he indecently touched a woman at a conference.
Campbell was suspended in late 2021 over allegations about his conduct at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Edinburgh weeks earlier. The alleged incident took place at the Scottish Cyber Awards which was attended by hundreds of guests.It was reported in June he had been dismissed from Police Scotland following an investigation by the Scottish Police Authority watchdog.But the Record can reveal he is back at work after successfully challenging the outcome of the SPA probe.
