Leeds United once thwarted Chelsea's hopes of going top of the Premier League
Chelsea 4-1 Tottenham Hotspur will go down as one of the craziest games in recent Premier League history. Two red cards, five disallowed goals, nine VAR checks, 21 minutes of added time six yellow cards and a hat-trick for Chelsea striker Nicholas Jackson.
But, it's a Leeds United performance that springs to mind when thinking about the crazy game last night. Back in December 1997, George Graham took his Whites side to Stamford Bridge with the plan to thwart Chelsea's hopes of drawing level at the top of the Premier League.They did just that and did it the hard way. Referee Graham Poll had shown Alfie Haaland and Gary Kelly red cards in a bruising first-half battle at Stamford Bridge.
