We Lancastrians are always happy to give an honest opinion
A Danish tourist who "fell in love with the northern charm" on a previous visit to the UK is returning, and he's heading to Lancashire. The traveller plans to stay in the north west for a few nights in August, and he took to Reddit for advice on "what can't be missed".
The tourist, who revealed they will be travelling with a partner and both are in their 30s, said that they are also "into historical places, science and nature" and "appreciate unique and odd experiences when abroad."From "hidden gems" to "insider tips" they were keen to hear a range of suggestions for places they can reach on public transport on a "decent budget". And Lancashire did not disappoint in the comments.
Staying with the football link, WraithBringer who was seemingly a Burnley fan wrote: "Some beautiful walks around Towneley, Rowley, Worsthorne, Cliviger and into Rossendale. Some lovely plates in Padiham too such as Gawthorpe Hall.
