Tourists slapped with £8k charge after bison stampede and destroy their car
A GROUP of tourists were left terrified after a stampede of bison crushed their rental car and cracked one of the windows.A group of tourists were left with a smashed car following a bison stampedeBruce Delle Chiaie, 50, was driving through Lamar Valley in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, with his wife and three children on August 13 when a herd of bison rushed on to the road, stopping all traffic.
One huge bison hit Bruce’s rental car with his horns, causing severe damage to it and the whole family to scream with terror. In the video, Bruce swears as the bison run towards their car, as well as two other cars on the road.He then begs them not to hit the car saying "don't, don't, don't."A group of cars were caught in the sudden stampedeA bison then slammed into the side of the car as they screamed"I can't believe we take the insurance."Bruce added that another driver's alarm set them off."We got out of the car and started looking for the moose.
"We got to the car and my sons went in the back, I stood for a minute and was in awe and started taping.According to Bruce, the animal that hit the car caused severe damage to the vehicle, including a crushed hood, a cracked windshield and a broken door."We still have not received the damage costs but I am guessing it will be around $10,000. .
