Steven, who was from the Leeds area, was reported as missing by concerned loved ones last weekend. The 40-year-old was last spotted around the Crompton Moor area at around 8am on Sunday morning .
Greater Manchester Police launched an appeal for help to trace him as they said officers were 'becoming increasingly concerned' about him. In a tragic update issued today , the force said he was sadly found dead yesterday.His family are now being supported by specialist officers. Police thanked members of the public for their help with sharing the previous missing appeal.
GMP said in a post on social media: "#UPDATE | Sadly, Steven who was missing from #Leeds and was last seen around Crompton Moor in #Oldham on Sunday was found deceased yesterday. His family are being supported by specialised officers and have asked for privacy at this time. "Our officers would like to thank those who helped in sharing our appeal despite the tragic outcome."
