Calum Rae, 28, died following the incident on Old Meldrum Road in Newmachar, Aberdeenshire, at 1am on Thursday.
Emergency services raced to the scene but Calum, from Inverurie, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile Man Chat, a community based business that aims to better help mental health, posted on their Facebook page said: "Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of our dear member Calum Rae.
