Troy Deeney reveals why he's not ready for another manager job after Forest Green Rovers nightmare
Troy Deeney says he is not yet ready to venture back into management after a tumultuous spell at Forest Green Rovers.striker was handed the reins at The New Lawn Stadium last December however his first voyage into management ended just six games later.Deeney was guilty of publicly criticising his players, in particular, right-back Fankaty Dabo who was lambasted following a 2-0 defeat at home to Harrogate in January.
His brief spell at the club represented a steep learning curve for the 36-year-old but it doesn’t appear to have hampered his appetite to return to the touchline. While Deeney is enjoying his time away from football, the Birmingham native is collating a list of desirables needed before he makes his return, even if that is not on the agenda just yet.
“There's so many things that go into it, which on the courses they don't tell you about. They go, do your badges. Can I put on a coaching session? Absolutely. Can I talk to players? Absolutely. Well, that's half of the job.
