Votes are being counted fast - but it's still too close to callThe pro-government Anadolu Agency has Erdogan on 52.7% and Kilicdaroglu on 47.3%.The opposition-owned ANKA has Erdogan on 50.8% and Kilicdaroglu on 49.2%The two agencies say they've counted around the same number of votes but are reporting markedly different results.

The alliance also includes the smaller ultra-conservative Saadet Party and the right-wing Democrat Party.This left-wing alliance is led by the third-biggest party in Turkey, the pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party .The alliance has backed Mr Kilicdaroglu in the presidential elections. In the last 10 minutes, President Erdogan's lead has fallen below 53% according to the feed from the state-run Anadolu Agency.

"In response to legal process and to ensure Twitter remains available to the people of Turkey, we have taken action to restrict access to some content in Turkey today," Twitter said.Questioning the move, Bloomberg columnist Matt Yglesias said the Turkish government had asked Twitter to censor its opponents right before an election and Musk had"complied".

"This is what it means to treat freedom of expression as a principle rather than a slogan," he added.Ahmet Yener, the president of Turkey's Supreme Electoral Commission, says they have verified 25% of the votes so far and that the counting process is proceeding normally, with results coming in from Turkey's provinces and districts as normal.

But, ANKA, a competing news agency gave a slight lead to the opposition candidate with 69% of ballot boxes counted.
