The Cleveland Browns came to town for the Seattle Seahawks’ only home preseason game this year. The energy was high, not just because the 12s have been cooped up since a disappointing display against the Pittsburgh Steelers on New Years Eve 2023, but also because we’d finally get to see our starters in action, including Geno Smith, DK Metcalf, and Devon Witherspoon.
The Browns finally found their way onto the board with a Dustin Hopkins field goal, but Sam Howell and the Seahawks would respond in short order, with a mad dash and nasty stiff arm by Kenny McIntosh, putting the final pieces on his impressive preseason. The Seahawks appeared to have snuffed out the next Browns drive, but a costly taunting penalty by Lance Boykin on 3rd down, set the Browns up for an impressive deep pass on the next play.
