Tragedy struck on South Australian roads over the weekend as two separate crashes claimed the lives of three people.
Robyn van der Hoogan was a pillar of the community in Nangwarry, 350 kilometers south-west of Adelaide. Her husband, Peter, told 9 News she would be dearly missed by the entire community. But yesterday, a short distance from home, her life was cut short when her Ford station wagon collided with a ute. Her passenger, friend Aileen McKinnon, was rushed to Mount Gambier Hospital but also couldn't be saved. 'Robyn loved cats and loved life.
She was very soft natured and would help anyone who asked for it,' he said. Hours after the Nangwarry crash, Aldinga Beach man Scott Collingridge was killed at Wattle Flat on the Fleurieu Peninsula near Adelaide. The 55-year-old was riding a motorcycle that collided with a Subaru station wagon on Main South Road. Police said the crash was a reminder to other drivers not to become complacent when driving this holiday period. 'The trauma on our roads this festive period has been truly heartbreaking,' Superintendent Shane Johnson said. 'Our thoughts are with these families, with friends, with the communities who have been impacted by this tragic loss of life
