Emergency services remained at the scene for six hours
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the blaze on Saracen Street at around 4.30pm on Thursday, March 16 with the incident occurring within a 'commercial premises'.
Firefighters battled the blaze for several hours before eventually leaving the scene at around 10.30pm, six hours after they were alerted to the incident. Police Scotland officers were also in attendance.The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that two casualties were taken into the care of paramedics "as a precautionary measure".
An SFRS spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 4.28pm on Thursday, March 16, to reports of a fire within a commercial premises on Saracen Street, Glasgow. "Operations control mobilised two fire appliances and one aerial appliance to the scene, where firefighters extinguished a fire affecting the ground floor of the building.
