The suspects, aged 24 and 54, remain in custody to be questioned
Two women were arrested after a handgun and ammunition were uncovered at a house in Moss Side. Police raided the home along Caythorpe Street on Tuesday when they made the discovery.
Both women remain in custody at this time to be questioned by detectives, Greater Manchester Police said. Detective Superintendent Joe Harrop, GMP lead for Serious Organised Crime, said: "Firearms have no place on our streets and these arrests demonstrate our commitment to removing guns from the streets of Greater Manchester. We rely on information from the public as we continue to protect our communities from guns.
