A devastating multi-car collision on the A303 near Amesbury has left two young boys seriously injured, with one facing life-threatening conditions.
A one-year-old boy and a five-year-old boy sustained injuries in a horrifying multi- car collision on a busy road. Following the impact, the Peugeot went out of control, spinning across the westbound carriageway. It tragically flew over the barriers and collided head-on with another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. The traumatized family was promptly transported to the hospital, where they were reported to have 'serious' injuries.
The toddler's injuries were sadly categorized as life-threatening. Police have initiated an urgent appeal, desperately seeking dashcam footage of the incident. A statement from the authorities read, 'We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision on the A303 near Amesbury yesterday afternoon, in which a young child suffered life-threatening injuries.' The details of the sequence of events leading to the crash have begun to emerge. It appears that a Karoq car joined the A303 eastbound at the Amesbury Road junction and collided with a white Peugeot 208 traveling in the same direction. This initial impact caused the Peugeot to spin uncontrollably across the dividing barriers onto the westbound carriageway. There, it tragically collided head-on with a silver vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. The driver of the Peugeot, a woman in her 20s, sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries. Another passenger in the Peugeot, a five-year-old boy, also sustained injuries that are not considered life-changing. The road was completely closed in both directions to enable safe recovery operations. The eastbound carriageway has now been reopened, with the westbound carriageway expected to reopen shortly
