Jack Harrison, who left on loan for Everton this summer and Tyler Adams, who joined Bournemouth on a permanent deal, have both been out injured

Leeds United saw a total of 18 players leave the club either on loan or permanent deals this summer as relegation from the Premier League meant that a widescale turnover was inevitable. The vast majority of these players have been able to contribute for their new sides on the pitch, but two players were nursing injuries when their moves away were confirmed and have so far been unable to feature for their new clubs.

It now looks like Adams is closing in on his return, with Cherries head coach Andoni Iraola confirming he could feature in the squad for his side's EFL Cup clash against Stoke City. “If he trains well today, maybe we could put Tyler in the squad,” Iraola said.“I think he is doing really well. He wants to help and we have to take the decision after today’s training.Jack Harrison was able to feature in Leeds' run-in, but a hip injury curtailed his pre-season.
