Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has shared his thoughts on Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard:

's latest earning call with investors, Guillemot was asked if he thought Microsoft's $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard would act as a catalyst for further mergers and about his decision on Ubisoft remaining independent while the industry consolidates."I think it's good news that the transaction can go through because it's really showing the power of IPs and where the industry is going.

"Microsoft is saying that the mobile part of the Activision deal is important, so all the investment we are making to be stronger on mobile are also in line with that, so all those elements will help the value of the company to grow." Ubisoft has a packed slate between now and the end of March 31 that includes several big mobile games. As per its latest earnings, Assassin's Creed: Codename Jade, The Division Resurgence, and Rainbow Six Mobile are all launching for mobile this fiscal year. On the docket for consoles and PC are Assassin's Creed Mirage, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Just Dance 24 Edition, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Skull and Bones, The Crew Motorfest, and XDefiant.
