Rousimar Palhares was let go by the UFC following his 31-second victory over Mike Pierce at UFC Fight Night: Maia vs. Shields back in October 2013.The Brazilian, however, held onto the submission for several seconds following Pierce's tap, with the American fighter yelling in pain as referee Keith Peterson intervened.
