In addition to UH Elyria , the top-ranked Cleveland-area hospitals on the Lown honor roll were MetroHealth System , SouthPointe Cleveland Clinic and Summa Health Akron . Nationally, Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, North Carolina, ranked as the most socially responsible acute care hospital in the country, according to Lown.
Lown rankings are based on public data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, the Internal Revenue Service and other sources.
