Headed by Ekaterina Zhdanova and George Rossi , this network laundered billions using cryptocurrency, allowing criminal organizations to reinvest illicit funds without physically moving cash.
The National Crime Agency (NCA) revealed that the operation involved drug cartels, elite cybercriminals, Russian oligarchs, and even the Russian state, with the network facilitating payments for spies and journalists.
