Weather warnings for rain, thunderstorms and hail are in place while some parts of the country could experience 'mud rain', forecasters warn
Brits holidaying in Spain this week could face stormy weather as forecasters issue amber and yellow warnings for heavy rain, thunderstorms and even hail. The country’s national weather agency Aemet has also predicted that ‘mud rain’ could fall in some parts of the country.
The ‘mud rain’ is likely to affect southern Spain and the Alboran Sea which means Marbella, Malaga and Almeria could experience it. Forecasting for Thursday, August 29, Aemet said: “Light haze is likely in the centre and south of the peninsula and Alboran, so showers may be accompanied by mud. Morning fog is likely in the interior of the Cantabrian area and inland areas of Levante, the Balearic Islands and the Catalan coast.
