Research has found where Brits want to take a city break next
A survey of Brits has revealed their top 10 city breaks, after 2,000 holidaymakers were asked to choose their European bucket-list destinations. Unsurprisingly, the likes of Paris and Barcelona feature in the top 10 city break locations for city breaks, but there are a few which might surprise.
The average adult plans in three activities for each three-night city break they take and eats five meals out, according to the OnePoll.com figures. During this time, they'll rack up six miles on foot each day, spend £213 on attractions and sightseeing – and £270 on food. “While most of us like to blend in with the locals when abroad, it is all too easy for us to look like tourists when we are exploring a new city. Whether that is getting lost, not being familiar with the currency, or taking too many selfies – but that is all part of the fun of a holiday.
