Tradies from a powerful union in Victoria could walk off the job amid anger over a potential duck hunting ban but an Animal Justice Party MP has slammed the threat.
A Legislative Council select committee has this year been examining recreational native bird hunting arrangements with a report due to parliament on August 31.

I've had a couple of big site meetings and they were really ropeable. Mr Setka's comments came as the ETU Victorian Branch took to social media to declare a joint union resolution had been passed in support of duck hunting remaining.
Earlier in the week, more than 300 ETU members from Metro Trains Infrastructure voted to walk off the government's big build sites if duck hunting was banned.
