Thousands of people turned out on the waterfront this weekend
A 'unique' event took place on the Pier Head as part of the city's Pride celebrations. The British Firefighter Challenge came to the city for the first time on Saturday, hosted by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service . The event coincides with Liverpool Pride on Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28.
The various challenges, taking place in the morning time, are made up of the likes of a Crofton stair ascent, a Harken haul aloft, a container carry and an Angus fire hose drag. Andi Herring, CEO of LCR Pride Foundation, said: “We are thrilled to be working with the British Firefighter Challenge team to deliver a weekend of events that people will talk about for years to come.
