Molly Yates, 28, of Gateshead, rushed her pooch Milo to the vet when she discovered the Miniature Daschund couldn't move.
An urgent warning has been issued to dog owners after a 'devastated' woman found her Daschund paralysed from waist down.
Emergency surgery worth £6,000 was successful, but Molly will now have to pay out for thousands of pounds in further treatment after finding out her insurance will only pay for half of the cost. She was told Milo, 5, had a condition known as Intervertebral Disc Disease , said to be common in sausage dogsMolly said: 'All my family are hours and hours away, it's just me on my own dealing with it all on my own but a lot of people have been reaching out and helping. People's generosity and kindness really has been overwhelming.
'He's on four different types of medication, four times a day, he can't go out for a wee without me being there with him, I have to lift his back legs up for him to walk with his two front legs.'
