US lawmakers Ron Wyden and Andy Biggs are urging newly confirmed Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard to pressure the UK government to reverse its reported demand for Apple to weaken iCloud security for government access. They argue that a backdoor in Apple's products would undermine the security of Americans' data and that the UK's move would undo years of US government efforts to support strong encryption.
