Other interests declared include a cash donation of £2,000 from a construction firm and payments of more than £1,000 for completing surveys

Almost two months since the UK General Election and our MPs have begun to declare their financial interests outside of their salary and expenses received for their work in Parliament.

Newly elected MP for South Antrim Robin Swann is the only MP to have declared cash donations to date. Mr Swann has received three donations to the tune of £9,000 including a donation of £5,000 from Alan Dunlop, a donation of £2,000 from construction firm the Errigal Group and a donation of £2,000 from Novogen Engineering.

Jim Shannon also registered that he is part-owner of a holiday home in the United States and that he owns 40 acres of farmland in Co Down. Sinn Féin's Chris Hazzard declared travel and accommodation to the value of £2227.38 for two trips including flights and accommodation to the value of £743.38 for a visit to Prague between 4 October 2023 and 8 October 2023 paid for by Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung to present an update at the Rosa Luxemburg European Summer School on the political situation in Ireland and Britain.

In addition to his travel and work, Mr Finucane has also declared that he owns a residential property in Belfast.
