The crash happened at the junction of Westwood Street and Argyle Street on Monday afternoon
The incident happened at the bottom of Westwood Street in Accrington on Monday afternoon . Pictures shared in a local Facebook group at 1.40pm showed how the white van crashed into the wall at the junction of Argyle Street.
It resulted in large bricks from the wall in front of Argyle Street Joinery collapsing onto the van. A police officer could be seen stood next to the vehicle in the street as traffic was diverted around the scene.A separate picture showed the aftermath of the collision once the van had been removed. The crash left a huge hole in the wall with dozens of bricks on the ground.
A blue car parked on the other side of the wall was also left wrecked with the windscreen shattered and the boot crumpled. A cordon was put in place around the scene. Lancashire Constabulary said the incident was reported as a 'minor injury'. No further details have been released and no arrests were reported.
