You’ve got to wonder whether Van Dijk would have the same tone-deaf take after a conversation with a nurse on nights, a single parent working two jobs to keep the heating on, or any of the innumerable people working 60-hour weeks in a cost-of-living crisis.
It’s not going to happen. And neither is the pay-cut.
