A restaurant in Victoria Centre 's Clocktower dining area has closed its doors after nearly 10 years at the shopping centre. Ed's Easy Diner arrived on the upper level in November 2015 as part of then-owner Intu's £40m refurbishment, bringing a dozen new places to eat and drink.
Known for its breakfasts, hot dogs and burgers such as The Cheesy and the Filthy Texan, Ed's was being stripped out earlier this week. Others complained of mouldy bread, two cans of Coke costing £8, and loaded fries with "the smallest amount of cheese sauce, just enough to cover one chip if lucky". The app that was introduced for ordering didn't go down well with certain customers either.
