Virgin Australia has revealed its new economy and business class cabins as it announced it was spending $110 million on refreshing its aircraft interiors in a move that will see more seats added to some planes.
The airline unveiled its new"cabins of the future" on Saturday to coincide with the arrival of the first of its eight Boeing 737-8 aircraft.
Virgin Australia said the 737-8 business class seats include"leg rests with extendable footrests", while the economy seat has a"personal tablet/device holder". "There's also a huge number of customers who fly with us for leisure who value in-seat power for a different reason – powering devices to keep their kids entertained, or streaming and bingeing on the latest must-see shows."
One row of Economy X on all Boeing 737-800 aircraft will also be replaced with standard economy seats.
