Craig Bellamy's Wales continue their impressive Nations League campaign with a 1-0 victory over Montenegro, making him the first Welsh boss to avoid defeat in his first four games. Bellamy emphasizes the importance of squad depth and utilizing the entire pool of talent for future World Cup qualifying success.

Wales head coach Craig Bellamy believes the way he has been able to use his squad in the Nations League will boost their chances of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

“We need a big squad. The Nations League is brilliant, really competitive and it allows you to utilise the squad,” Bellamy said. Oxford United forward Mark Harris earned his first senior international start, while there were also rare starts for the likes of Bolton Wanderers midfielder Josh Sheehan and Swansea City forward Liam Cullen.

“I like building a library of being able to change, so today we moved into three different shapes, so that's great that the players can seamlessly do that at the minute.Turkey remain top of Group B4 – two points ahead of Wales – following their 4-2 victory in Iceland on Monday. “I'm such a rookie, I really am. You're just getting a feel, you're getting moments. It's enjoyable, it really is,” he added.
