The Irishman is expecting a tough test from Motherwell and will be without his number one.
Brendan Rodgers reckons planning for the future permeates his whole squad, not just that of the number one spot occupied by Joe Hart.
The Hoops take on a Motherwell side desperate to rediscover their form, after a flying start to the season was stalled with two defeats to in-form St Mirren and Rangers. Rodgers and his contingent have had a full week to prepare after showing Livingston their strength last weekend, but the Irishman remains without key players such as Joe Hart, who is suspended, and Cameron Carter-Vickers who remains on the sidelines.
But Rodgers believes that despite the veteran status of his number one goalie, there is a succession plan in place not just for Hart, but right throughout the heart of the Celtic contingent. The Parkhead gaffer reckons the former Man City stopper is ageless, but that he always has one eye on what comes next for his team.
He said: "Not only Joe, it's throughout the squad. You always have to plan forward, I thought it was unfortunate until he got sent off. What doesn't get highlighted is he made a great save at 0-0. He is the age that he is, he looks after himself so well and is in great physical shape. "Naturally, in every position, you're always planning forward. Whether that's goalkeeper, centre-half, centre-forward you always have an eye on the future."
