Robert Watson's side remain rock bottom of SWPL1 after a couple of painful defeats
Hamilton Accies Women boss Robert Watson insists he still has confidence in his players – despite shipping 11 goals in their last two SWPL1 games.Accies kicked off game one of 10 in the post-split season with a 4-0 derby defeat at home to Motherwell on Sunday, which followed up a 7-0 hammering at Montrose in their final game before the top and bottom six sides split.
Watson said: “I think we were pretty poor in the first half and didn’t make Motherwell work hard enough for their goals, so that’s the biggest disappointment. “But there’s not much time to dwell on anything, the split now comes thick and fast, and at the end of the day, despite a poor result, there’s still three points between three teams and we’ve still got everyone else to play twice, and Motherwell another once.“We know in the first half we weren’t anywhere near good enough and we deservedly didn’t take anything from the game, so we need to be honest enough to say that.
