The restaurant's business account had a string of offensive trans posts
Outraged diners are threatening to boycott a Nottingham restaurant after a series of transphobic social media posts. Italian restaurant Sexy Mamma Love Spaghetti waded in to the Oympics' controversy surrounding Algerian boxer Imane Khelif, who previously failed a gender eligibility test.
Another said: "As an ally to the LGBTQ+ community there is no way I could eat in the Sexy Mamma restaurants again. The posts and the rubbish apology afterwards are appalling. I'll be spending my money elsewhere." In another post Mr Gondzic is standing on Hockley's rainbow crossing with the caption "Why don’t streets of Hockley sometimes have Union Jack painted on the road?"
"This incident is not just a minor oversight but reflects deeper societal challenges that require public discussion and accountability. believe it is crucial to shed light on such incidents to promote a more inclusive and respectful community." “Using a professional business account to make such comments also raises major concerns. We have told Mr Gondzic directly that he has left a great number of people feeling unwelcome. We are also worried that by using the business account, he is projecting his own personal views onto his employees, many of who may not agree or may identify as LGBTQ+ themselves.
