Gemma Meek, 23, launched Quine Magazine
A young West Lothian woman has made it to the finals for the prestigious Scottish Women’s Awards 2023 in the Young Achiever of the Year category.
Following a number of cuts to the Scottish press, and the closure of the majority of women’s interest titles in Scotland, Gemma found an opportunity to bring a fresh, new product out for Gen Z and millennial women. Gemma said: “I am honoured and humbled to be a finalist for the Young Achiever of the Year award. Launching Quine Magazine has been a dream of mine since I was a teenager, and it took a lot of courage and determination to make it happen, especially as a young woman in a competitive industry.
