Wetherspoons is offering a 7.5% discount on all food and drinks in most of its branches across England, Scotland, and Wales today to celebrate Tax Equality Day. The discount applies to everything on the menu, with the exception of alcoholic drinks in Scotland due to licensing laws.

One to remember if you’re heading to the pub later It’s Thursday, which means the weekend is almost here and a trip to the pub is most definitely in order. And you might want to make sure you head to a Wetherspoon, as the beloved chain is slashing prices on all food and drink nation-wide. On September 12, you can visit most branches to take advantage of a 7.5% discount with no voucher or code required. In England and Wales, it will apply to everything on the menu, in Scotland.

A statement on the Wetherspoon website reads: ‘Pubs have been under fantastic pressure for decades, because of the tax disadvantages which they have with supermarkets. Have you been the £2.8million Spoons yet? A brand new Wetherspoons pub opened at Waterloo Station earlier this month, meaning it’ll be easier than ever for commuters to grab a cheeky post-work pint.
