A 23-year-old Wetherspoon enthusiast spent £500 on a massive tattoo of the pub chain's name across her stomach, combining her love of metal music and budget-friendly boozing.
A dedicated Wetherspoon enthusiast went all out, spending £500 on a sprawling 1.6-foot-wide tattoo of her beloved pub chain's name emblazoned across her stomach. Tasha Bentley, a 23-year-old content creator, got the intricate inking of ' Wetherspoons ' in a five-inch-tall death metal font. She began the process in May as a tribute to her favorite pub chain and recently completed the impressive artwork.
Tasha's bold choice stunned her friends, family, and even the staff at her local pub, The Bull's Head Hotel in Walkden, Greater Manchester, when she revealed her 'iconic' new addition. While the Wetherspoon name doesn't technically end with an 'S', Tasha's tattoo does. Content creator Tasha, who boasts a total of 55 tattoos, expressed her love for both Wetherspoon and metal music, stating that she combined the two passions to create her most cherished piece. Now proudly sporting a walking advertisement for the budget-friendly pub chain, Tasha playfully hopes that it might earn her a complimentary whiskey from Wetherspoon as a token of appreciation.Tasha, hailing from Bolton, Greater Manchester, revealed that the tattoo seamlessly merged her two deepest loves. She describes the experience as overwhelming and emotionally charged, with a sense of accomplishment that resembled receiving good news. The tattoo, she believes, became an 'iconic' symbol of her unwavering loyalty to Wetherspoon. Initially envisioning the design as an underboob piece, logistical challenges led to the decision to place it on her stomach. Despite the painfulness of the lengthy process, involving multiple sessions and numbing cream, Tasha is completely satisfied with the final outcome. She credits the affordable drinks and food, friendly patrons and staff, and the overall feeling of safety while enjoying a drink at Wetherspoon as the reasons behind her strong preference for the chain. Tasha's journey into heavier music began at age 12 when she transitioned from pop-punk and indie to bands like Cannibal Corpse, Mötley Crüe, and Anthrax. She incorporated the iconic fonts of these bands into her Wetherspoon tattoo, creating a unique and personal fusion of her passions. While her family initially found the tattoo a bit outlandish, they have come to appreciate its uniqueness. Tasha's friends, unsurprisingly, accepted the boldness as a quintessential 'Tasha' move. Even the staff at her local pub, while initially surprised, expressed curiosity and amusement. Tasha, unapologetic and proud of her unconventional display of affection for Wetherspoon, playfully hopes for a complimentary whiskey as a reward for her unwavering loyalty and public advertisement. Wetherspoon declined to comment on the matter
