Deputy Chief Constable Rachel Swann revealed she has revoked the opportunity for residents to return to their evacuated properties to retrieve possessions, as some have refused to leave. Swann says they are putting their lives in danger by doing so.
Towns at risk include Marple and New Mills and the village of Furness Vale, according to reports.
