The VIP area is a 'hidden paradise'
Around 20,000 music lovers per day will be flocking to Nottingham's Splendour Festival for fun and frolics with Madness, Sam Ryder and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. That many people inevitably means long queues. Queues to get in, queues for the loo, and queues for food and drink.
If you live within the city there's discounts for residents, bringing the price down to £162 for adults and £126 for the youth ticket for the weekend, or one day £103.50 and £81.But what exactly do you get for paying a premium price? To start with there's fast-track entry to the festival with a dedicated VIP lane.
As for the toilets, they're described as "luxury", equipped with mirrors and fragrant hand wash. VIPs still have to pay for food and drink but they can look forward to gourmet street food vendors, while the bar is doubling in size, with a variety of cocktails on offer.
