Let’s talk about the Seahawks’ 16-3 preseason opener over the Chargers!
Well that’s one way to open up the preseason! Our Seattle Seahawks spoiled Jim Harbaugh’s return to the NFL, dismantling the Los Angeles Chargers 16-3. I know I wasn’t the only one holding my breath, waiting to see how this new Seahawks team would look, and they did not disappoint. Defense would rule the day, giving us even more tangible evidence that Mike Macdonald is, in fact, a genius. Even with key starters inactive, there was still a ton of good things on display.
Byron Murphy II is the truth, and it’s insane that a defensive talent like him would fall to us with the 16th pick of the draft. He was a clear influence on the defensive front, and a menace to the Chargers offense. He would finish with just one tackle, which was for a loss. He narrowly missed a sack on Chargers quarterback Easton Stick, but teammate Derick Hall was right there to finish the job.
