Legendary TV personality Chuck Woolery, best known for hosting Wheel of Fortune, has died at the age of 83. His close friend and podcast co-host, Dr. Mark Young, confirmed the news on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying Woolery passed away at his Texas home.
Legendary TV icon Chuck Woolery has 'suddenly' passed away at the age of 83. Chuck, who was best known for presenting Wheel of Fortune, among other hit shows, died on Saturday, it was confirmed.
Mark revealed to TMZ that he was with Chuck at his Texas home when the 83 year old mentioned he wasn't feeling well and decided to rest. Tragically, after returning to the room struggling to breathe, despite emergency services being called, Chuck passed away, Mark said. The beloved TV presenter leaves behind his wife Kim and their children, Katherine, Melissa, Michael and Sean. Following Mark's social media announcement of Chuck's passing, tributes have poured in from heartbroken fans, reports The Mirror.
A second expressed: "I'm so sorry, Chuck was always my favourite game show host. Prayers and condolences to you and your family." A third fan commented: "Condolences. Chuck was amazing. It's difficult to even refer to him in the past tense. God bless you. I'm sure Chuck is watching at His side."
