Ms Neophytou said the charity welcomes the Home Secretary’s announcement but said there needs to be greater government funding for life-saving therapeutic support services for victims of sexual exploitation and abuse as there are “still limited services available”. Instead, Mr Fewkes suggested it was down to officers not having the time to record ethnicity information as investigations into grooming gangs progress.
