during Women's Podium Training ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games at Ariake Gymnastics Centre on July 22, 2021 in Tokyo, Japan. Simone Biles and the U.S. Women’s Gymnastics team were on top of the world after their victory in Tuesday’s Olympic team final. “Put a finger down if Simone Biles just ended you 🖐🏼,” Lee commented, likely referencing Skinner’s TikTok video where she evoked a similar phrase. After retiring in 2021, Skinner embraced a new role as an influencer while dabbling in online gymnastics analysis. While watching the 2024 U.S. Gymnastics Championships, Skinner took to herto share her thoughts on the athletes and their performances. In a now-deleted video, the 27-year-old doled out criticism for her former teammates and the state of American women’s gymnastics.

Within hours, the shocking video reached the top of social media feeds, including those belonging to the inner circles of the nation’s top gymnasts.: “Whoa. She really said that out loud and posted it. That's something.” Shortly after the post, Biles shared her reaction through a crypticwomen's team final at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France, July 30, 2024.
